With the advancement of technology, the use of web or internet based applications in government agencies, more commonly the use of all digital information technology in the public sector to enhance the services to the people has become an inevitable technological innovation in our recent times. E-government has been defined as “the application of information and communications technology (ICT) to transform the efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and
accountability of informational and transactional exchanges within government, between governments and government agencies at federal, municipal and local levels, citizens and businesses; and to empower citizens through access and use of information.”[1]. The success of all such initiatives greatly depends on how such initiatives are adopted by the social group who are directly or indirectly involved in the implementation of such technology as well the beneficiaries of those advancements. The in case of e government initiatives, the public sector employees form the social group who are instrumental in the proper implementation of this initiative.
